Connect GROUPS

Doing Life Together

The book of First Corinthians reveals that the Christian life is not to be a singular effort.  We are to be a part of a whole body of people called the family of God.  A "Connect Group" is a place where the true intent of what it means to be brothers and sisters in Christ is practiced and demonstrated.  The purpose of a Connect Group is to build relationships through loving, supportive, and exhortative Christians who help each other through the Holy Spirit to grow in their love, knowledge, and obedience to Jesus Christ.  A Connect Group is not a social meeting or a club, but it is a Christ-centered ministry opportunity.

  • The Bait of Satan

Living Free from the Deadly Trap of Offense

A person who cannot forgive, is a person who's forgotten what they've been forgiven of. This powerful study is one of the most important confrontations with truth you'll encounter in your lifetime. The issue of offense, the very core of The Bait of Satan, is often the most difficult obstacle an individual must face and overcome. Jesus said, "It is impossible that no offenses should come" (Luke 17:1 NKJV). Your choice is not in whether or not you get offended, but in how you choose to respond. This message will empower you to stay free from offense, enabling you to have an unhindered relationship with God and others.

  • How to Worship the King

Worship is more than music. It is the impetus for everything we do as Christians. It is expressed through every action of our lives and helps us become more Christlike. When we learn to worship God through our life, we become better Christians, ministers, musicians, parents, and mechanics.

Transform every area of your life through worship.

This study unfolds a holistic view of worship so that you can experience peace, joy, and the richness of living in God’s presence. Be drawn to the heart of God as you explore answers to important questions such as:

What are praise and worship, and what is my part in them?

If I’m not a musician or singer, how can I be a worship leader?

What does the Bible teach about how we come into the presence of God and how we lead other people into the presence of God?

  • I Am Second

I Am Second is a multimedia movement and not-for-profit organization that is designed to inspire people to put Jesus Christ first. This group will focus on a few of the I Am Second White Chair Films. This group is centered on discussions wherein people share and discuss daily struggles and issues of life in a Christian context. This study works to help members explore and discover their own personal purpose in life, as well as unite people who are on similar spiritual journeys.

  • I Said This, You Heard That

If you've ever said the wrong thing (or said the right thing the wrong way) you know how quickly your mouth can make a big mess. But it doesn't have to be that way.

This video study explores how your wiring affects what you say, how you listen, and how others hear you. You'll learn a simple framework that will instantly improve your communication. And you'll see how advice from the apostle Paul thousands of years ago may have held the secret all along.

  • Run the Race - Youth Study

Growing up isn’t easy. Growing up without a stable family can be tragic. Follow Zach Truett and his brother, Dave, as they walk through life’s challenges and face escalating problems with two different worldviews, straining—but ultimately strengthening—the bonds of brotherhood.

Based on the movie Run the Race, this Bible study combines powerful scenes from the film with the timeless message of faith, hope, and love. Through illustrations, Scripture, and discussion, you will be invited to experience the triumph of grace and hope that only comes from trusting the God who “loves us like crazy” and never stops pursuing us. “But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” —Romans 5:8

  • JOY Connect Group - 4:30 Group

Pastor Terry Bradley will be walking through the book of Ephesians this semester. Has it ever dawned on you that nothing has ever dawned on God? He knew before the world began that His people would face hardship, so He gave us His Word. The Book of Ephesians is a survival manual—it equips believers to thrive in a world that hates the message of Jesus Christ. Paul the Apostle writes to encourage believers to live well—we've been lifted from the graveyard of sin and called to shout the gospel into the darkened world. Join us as we study the book of Ephesians.
